Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Park Plan LLC collects through Your Golf Plan (yourgolfplan.com), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to golfers ("members") and to coaches.
Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Golf profile: handicap, home course, stock shot, typical miss, goals, how often you play and practice, and notes you write.
- Your swing videos, and any profile photo you upload.
- Messages you send to your coach or to us.
- For coaches: certification details, bio, location, years teaching, headshot, and the payout information you provide to Stripe when connecting your account.
Information from your use of the service: purchases and credits, the status of your evaluations, and basic technical data such as your device, browser, and IP address when you visit.
We do not see or store your full payment card number. Card details go directly to Stripe. We don't run advertising trackers on the site.
How we use it
- To deliver your Swing Analysis, including letting your assigned coach view your videos and profile.
- To process payments, issue refunds, and pay coaches.
- To send service emails, such as when your analysis is ready, plus occasional announcements from us.
- To provide support, keep the service secure, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To share a completed review (your coach's video analysis, credited by your first name unless you choose anonymous) on social media or our site, only when you've said yes, on that review or by choosing the share-friendly price at purchase. You can withdraw it any time.
- To improve the service. We don't sell your personal information.
Who sees your information
- Coaches. Until a coach claims your swing, approved coaches can see a summary of your submission in the open queue. Once one is assigned, that coach can see your videos, profile, and messages so they can coach you, and other coaches can't open your evaluation.
- Our team. Administrators may view accounts, evaluations, and messages to support members, review quality, and resolve problems.
- Service providers that help us run the service: Supabase (database, sign-in, and file storage), Mux (video upload and playback), Stripe (payments and coach payouts), Postmark (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting), and Sentry (error monitoring, which receives technical details about errors but not your videos or profile). They may process your information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Park Plan LLC.
- Business changes. If the business is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open and as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your account and videos at any time (see below); some records, such as payment history, may be kept where the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can view and update your profile details in your account.
- You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your information by emailing info@yourgolfplan.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
- Email. Announcements and updates are opt-in: we only send them if you checked the box at signup or turned them on in your profile, and every one has an unsubscribe link. We'll still send emails needed to run your account, such as when your swing analysis is ready.
- Text messages. If you give us a mobile number when you buy or sign up, you agree to receive texts from us and your coach about your account and swing analyses, such as when your review is ready or your coach replies. These are not marketing texts; we won't text you promotions unless you separately agree. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel or HELP for help, or turn texts off in your profile. A phone number is never required to buy or join. We don't sell or share your phone number or your text consent with anyone for their own marketing.
- Visit statistics. To understand how people find and use the site, we count visits to our public pages. We record the page, the site or link that sent you, your approximate location (city, state and country, taken from your connection), and your device, browser and operating system. We do not store your IP address, and these records are not linked to your name or account. A small cookie remembers for 30 days which site or link first sent you, so we know which marketing works. It holds no personal information and you can clear it in your browser.
- Referral cookie. If you arrive through a partner's link, we set a cookie for 30 days so we can credit that partner when you buy. It does not follow you to other websites, and you can clear it in your browser at any time.
- Help assistant. If you use the help assistant, what you type is sent to an AI provider (Anthropic) to write an answer. It does not see your account, videos, or payments, so please don't include passwords or card numbers. If you then send a request, the conversation is included with it so our team can help.
- Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, including to know what we collect and to have it deleted. Contact us to use them; we won't treat you differently for doing so.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and keep the service working. We don't use them for advertising.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
Your Golf Plan is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use it, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make a significant change we'll let you know by email or on the site. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated. See also our Terms of Service.
